Smashing start for Trigon Auctions 2021
On Wednesday evening Trigon Auctions first collection of 2021 closed with Dionthe van’t Merelsnest Z claiming the attention as top seller, selling at €46.000 to an American buyer. Only a few lots earlier, Nantender VDL sold for €44.000 to Great-Britain and the last bid was placed on Son’s Pleasure van Papinglo at € 38.000 with Argentina winning the long duel over the stallion.
Of the 11 stallions, 10 were sold at an average price of just under € 25.000, with all of the horse leaving their native country.
“It was a good night with many new bidder battling with longtime clients of all the Trigon partners and we can agree with the buyers on how they judged the horses. Because in the end they decide on what the market looks like” says Janko van de Lageweg.
Now Trigon Auctions looks ahead to the first foal auction, which closes on 16 June 2021 and the team is already underway to select the newborns. Breeders van register their foal for selection via the website https://www.trigonauctions.com/sell.
