Trigon Auctions closes the year in style

The last collection of Trigon Auctions was made up by 12 young talents of 3 years old, meticulously selected by Stal Tops, the van de Lageweg Family and Frederik De Backer. Wednesday evening the digital hammer fell on 11 horses, with one horse not awarded. The turnover was 270.000€, translating in an average price of 24.500€ per horse. 

The top price was paid by an Estonian client for the Inaico VDL gelding Mini Cooper HC at 44.000€. At 38.000€ the sporty Mc.Ewan by Cohinoor VDL will move to Germany.

Only one horse will stay in its native country, all others will find their new owners abroad.

“We’re happy with the result of this last auction of the year. The reaction of clients, old and new was overwhelming, based on the diversity of bids that we got to receive. Also for our breeders it is a strong and very positive signal that offspring of our young stallions can produced top prices at an auction” says Janko van de Lageweg about the last Trigon Auction of 2020.

“We’ve brought 75 lots to the digital auction room and we’ve sold 71, an outstanding yet very transparent result. We are delighted with every sale we’ve created wether is was top price or not. It was our goal to connect good horses with good people and we’ve managed that very well. It is the result of the entire team behind Trigon Auctions. Not just the 3 partners, but also our people in the office, the crew at the selection days and obviously the breeders, owners, bidders and buyers. 2020 goes into the books as a succes and we can’t wait to get going in the new year” concludes Frederik De Backer.
